For our first assignment, we were tasked with creating a mobile app paper prototype and video to pitch our idea to possible stakeholders. I chose to merge my love with music with a game-like experience similar to Pokemon Go. My concept would be called Music-O, and it is basically an experience where users who want to go for a walk around the UM campus can use their phone to find music stops where other players have left a certain "signature song" or playlist and others can come and listen, and exchange playlist and socialize with new people.
I created a fake paper iPhone because I wanted to record myself in a first person perspective, as well as switch the camera view to a third person perspective as well. I did not have anyone to assist me with recording so I opted to create this fake phone and walked around campus while strolling.
Many people looked at me weird, maybe they thought I was crazy, but again, this is Miami, everyone here is crazy to some exempt; it's our thing to be unique.

Once I got all my footage recorded, I moved on to create the screens for my app idea, keeping things very simple and cheap, since that is the point of a paper prototype, something that can be tossed away and get a new idea without wasting too much time and energy in the process.

After I had all my paper screens, I then worked on the sequence of the app interactions, creating short 1-5 second videos that I would then stick together into a video editor to create my video. I chose to work with after effects since it is one of my staple programs recently.

I finished my video, and presented it to my class. My professor gave me direct feedback, and so did my classmates, which is exactly what I wanted. They had suggestions on how to make the app more social and less randomized since not everyone would be into random music they cannot skip or shuffle, that could be a pain point and a window of opportunity for my app.

We are now heading into Week 3: Low-Fi Wireframes, and after gathering all the feedback I received from my classmates, I now have a better idea of what to do next, and then I have to test my wireframes with 3 users, getting feedback each time and iterating on the app, which I then will present the next week. Wish me luck!
